Apple v. Microsoft - New comment on Microsoft Company Meeting 2007.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Microsoft Company Meeting 2007":

Ugh, it's not even worth addressing the specifics about the earlier post regarding Apple's "missed opportunity." So, I won't. Ever notice the difference between Apple and MS on a very basic level? Apple isn't trying to win at everything. MS is. And, by doing so, they are not the best in anything.

The NYT piece was a shill piece. Check the background of the one who wrote it. There's Ballmer residue in them there pockets.

To believe the article, you'd have to ignore that Apple has doubled it's share in a few years WITHOUT trying to sell to everyone as a direct competitor to Microsoft. Apple is not trying to be MS, thank God. That's why everyone's always chasing after them. They take risks in favor of creativity, not profit.

Every time MS has taken a risk to "be cool," they've missed the mark. That's because deep down, you guys don't get it. Apple is not competing with you directly. Neither is Google. Neither is (fill in the blank). They changed the business model. They changed the whole conversation. You guys mistake your past two successes with Office and Windows as the "truth" of the future of tech.

Keep it up. You're getting outflanked so badly, it's embarrassing. Yeah, yeah, I know... you make a lot of money. So did Jedd Clampett.
