Windows 7 junk? Nope - New comment on Microsoft Has Turned The Corner.
Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Microsoft Has Turned The Corner":
You call Windows 7 innovative? It's a piece of junk. Vista with a slightly newer UI and the same mess under the covers. Bing?? That's the strategy for search? Give me a break. In a recent poll most users cannot tell the difference between Google and Bing. Bing is, at best, disruptive to Google, but is far from a winner.
Let's face it, Microsoft has lost big time! People are getting more and more fed up with the crap put out by Microsoft. Microsoft is heading down the path of IBM... the path to being irrelevant.
(Sorry, but I've been dogfooding Win7 for a good long time and it's not junk. Lost me there. But I'm willing to hear more about your direct experience and what you expected to do differently than it did.)

I've been running it for a number of months. It's not junk...but it's nothing really new either. I think that the redesigned taskbar gets annoying pretty quickly. Will users notice any other differences from Vista? I doubt it.
On the other hand, innovation in operating systems is exactly what Microsoft doesn't need. They need to win the marketing war that they lost with Vista.
Maybe the Office 2010 advertisement is a step in that direction. Personally, I wasn't that impressed. But what matters is what the proles think, right?

I am running Windows 7 from the first build, upgrading along the way without hesitation to the latest build every time.
I never did that with Vista, but with Windows 7, I was confident that winmain build will be always stable enough to install on my main dev box.

Win 7 is crap - i have used it and it has given on me many times. actually i am pretty much ok with vista, though of course after i bought macbook pro 13 inch , there is no looking back, its the nicest OS i have ever worked with .. i love it.

I have not used windows 7 - I escaped to Ubuntu - which after Microsoft is really a breath of fresh air - but noneof the reviews of Win 7 I have seen say anything other than this is Vista finally working. Well whoop de doo.

Windows is still garbage, the only thing going for it is games and then i gave up on pc games a couple of years ago and just use a console for that. What they need is to make an awesome for linux. Down with Microsoft.

COMPLETE JUNK. W7 crashes/freezes CONSTANTLY. on a good day i only have to restart 2 or 3 times. some days i have had to restart dozens of times.
a total waste of money, & the annoying part is that i got it based on reviews that turned out to be nothing more than MS propaganda.

I would have to say windows 7 is junk
But when it works it looks nice and loads faster then the others before it
You get tune up and run it
whenever
icons dont load n the system hangs
its not so bad
but if not
I feel bad for people with it
I have an I-5
and when it works its good
when it freezes
it pisses me off
8 gigs of ddr3
no excuse for it to freeze
and yet when icons wont load
and if I start u torrent
it freezes
A nice slogan
for win 7
would be
we removed clt alt delete
n added resourse moniter
if u can open it before it hangs
good job
if not
the power button is your friend

Below is a review of the groundbreaking Breitling for Bentley collection, which captures the elegance and styling that is quintessentially “Bentley”. The Bentley Breitling Aeromarine signature chronograph features knurled finishing on the bezel, inspired by the control buttons on a Bentley Motors dashboard. The large diameter case on this Bentley Motors T has a unique mechanism called the “30-second” type.

You got something right and something wrong. I think that it is slight better than Vista because they stole some ideas from Linux and Mac. Also they fix a lot of bug that there was on vista. In Vista I couldn't enter in Generic Viagra because a bug but Now I can do it.
